HAND LEARNING “E-NEWSNOTE”
MARCH 2009
Vol. 4, No.
6
No time
for a full-sized newsletter this month, as we’re off to the NSTA
National Conference! We hope to see you in New Orleans, March 18 –
21, 2009.
Stop by FHL’s room in the convention center and collect
a free gift! See details below.
If you will be attending the conference, consider showing up a day early
in the Big Easy and pre-register for our PDI – The Outdoor
Classroom: A Path to Science and Inquiry. Wednesday’s day-long
seminar will be held at the Audubon Zoo and offer firsthand experiences
that integrate key literacy skills with inquiry-based science. Learn more
here: http://www.nsta.org/pd/pdi/2009pdi05.aspx.
There are plenty of opportunities to investigate outdoor learning, inquiry,
and scientific literacy once the conference officially commences on Thursday,
March 19th. Attend one or more of First Hand Learning’s
PDI Pathway Sessions. These will all be held in Room
338 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
